The two main thrusts of CTI’s R&D are data and information management and signal processing.

Areas of research include:

• Enhancing the detection and
  discrimination of targets through the
  utilization of multiple displaced sensors
• Applying information technologies to
  dynamically manage heterogeneous
  sensors for the purpose of anticipating
  enemy actions
• Developing signal processing
  algorithms in order to identify the locations of WiFi devices
• Developing technologies for enhancing airborne networking
• Studying electromagnetic phenomenology, especially the effects of UWB interference
• Using Semantic Web technologies for the distribution of information to heterogeneous devices with deprived communications links
• Applying knowledge based techniques to manage and enhance the signal and data processing of radar systems
• Employing advanced waveform design for improving radar systems
